How Much Does a Pool Safety Inspection Cost in Brisbane?

Costs & Pricing

A residential pool safety inspection in Brisbane costs $199 with Budget Pool Safety Inspections — and that includes everything: the full barrier assessment, gate compliance check, CPR signage review, a detailed written report, and unlimited gate inspections. There are no hidden fees.

Here’s a complete breakdown of our pricing and what you get for each.

Pool Safety Inspection Price List

ServicePrice
Residential / non-shared pool inspection$199
Shared or commercial pool inspection$249
Re-inspection (after repairs)$99
Pool Safety Certificate (government fee, GST-free)$45.76

What’s Included in the $199 Inspection Fee

The flat $199 fee covers:

  • GST (no surprise add-ons)
  • Travel costs within our Brisbane South Side and Logan service areas
  • Full inspection of the pool barrier — including all sides
  • Unlimited gate inspections
  • CPR signage review
  • A comprehensive written report with photos of any non-compliances
  • Clear advice on how to fix anything that doesn’t pass

When Do You Need a Re-Inspection?

If your pool doesn’t pass first time, you’ll receive a Non-Compliance Notice (NCN) with detailed notes on what needs to be fixed. Once repairs are made, we can conduct a re-inspection for $99. The re-inspection verifies the fixes and — if everything checks out — leads to your pool safety certificate being issued.

From the 3rd inspection onward, the fee is $99 per visit.

What Affects the Cost?

Type of Pool

The biggest pricing difference is between a residential pool ($199) and a shared or commercial pool ($249). Shared pools — including pools in body corporate complexes, holiday rentals, and motels — require a more detailed assessment.

Travel Distance

Our standard pricing covers all suburbs in Brisbane South Side and Logan. If you’re outside our regular service area, contact us to confirm availability and any travel surcharge.

Urgency

We offer same-week appointments across most of our service area at standard rates. We don’t charge urgency fees for routine bookings.

Is the Cheapest Inspection Always Best?

Not always. An inspector who gives vague advice about non-compliances could leave you spending hundreds — or thousands — on unnecessary repairs, or failing a future inspection because fixes were done incorrectly.

Our inspectors are licensed by the Pool Safety Council and explain every finding clearly, with photos and practical guidance on cost-effective rectification.
